Infrared Athermal Lens Description:
Infrared camera lenses are usually made of Sulfur glass. This glass has a high index of refraction. It is only transparent to infrared light, but opaque to visible light and ultraviolet light, so it can distinguish animals and plants in a very dark environment.
The lens of an ordinary camera is made of optical glass, and its main function is to refract light, or to magnify objects. General optical glass is artificially synthesized.
Compared with the ordinary germanium scattered metal elements used in the lens of ordinary cameras, the infrared thermal imager lens has a relatively high reserve in nature, but it is very difficult to extract high-concentration germanium, so the production cost of the germanium lens is relatively high. The price is often higher than ordinary camera lenses.
